Our story

Short notice is not a problem here

Ask around George South and the same story keeps coming back: someone needed a cake, needed it soon, and Ghita's said yes. A mermaid theme for a fifth birthday, complete with toppers. A wedding cake designed to a couple's own drawing with two days to go. Customers call the products fresh, the quality good, and the taste heavenly, and then they mention the price with genuine surprise. There are tables inside if you would rather sit with a coffee and a slice, savoury snacks if you want something other than sweet, and a Pudo locker in the shop for anyone collecting a parcel while they are here. Bring us a picture, a date and a flavour on WhatsApp and we will take it from there.

Before you order

How do I order a custom cake?

Send us a WhatsApp on 083 627 9116 with your date, the number of people, a flavour and a picture of the look you want. We will come back to you with a quote and confirm what is possible in the time you have.

When are you open?

Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays, so please plan Sunday celebrations with a Saturday collection.

Can I take a short notice order?

Often, yes. Customers have had themed birthday cakes and even a wedding cake turned around at short notice. Message us as early as you can and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

Can I sit down for coffee and cake?

Yes. There are tables inside the shop for coffee and a slice, and we keep savoury snacks alongside the sweet. You will also find a Pudo locker in the shop.
